Some people call me Caroline. Some people call me Cal. Call me whatever you want, I'll probably respond.
I grew up in the North East, in a real small town near Cape Cod. I discovered a love for the mountains when I was a child, when my dad took me to hike Mount Monadnock. That love has since blossomed into a beautiful relationship. I've become a high pointer, backpacker and climber.
I would call myself a writer and photographer, but I prefer the term life enthusiast. I am inspired by beautiful places and people, but even more so by unassuming places and people. I think there is a story in even the most dull places and unassuming people. My photography has taken me to some of the highest points in the country, to many National Parks, to a new home in Ashford, WA, to Tanzania and everywhere in between.
I obtained my photography degree from Bridgewater State University. I've worked in one of largest climbing gyms in the country and at the nation's largest outdoor retailer. I've been lucky enough to score internships at Climbing Magazine and AMC Outdoors, as well as a more recent gig with the National Park Service, all of which have helped me grow and develop as a journalist.
Do you hike, climb, bike, play outside in general? I want to document your adventures!
I like to make friends.
If you're an athlete, model, or fellow outdoor enthusiast, I want to take pictures of you! I'm currently located in Ashford, Washington. Let's play outside!
Keep up with my adventures here.
